Hi,
I am hoping someone can provide insight into recurring problems I am having with my blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic monitoring system.

I have a 2020 ES 350 F-Sport.

Everything was fine until last month when I received a dashboard alert that BSM and RCT systems malfunctioned. The dealer seemed to have a hard time troubleshooting the source of the problem, kept the car 4 days, and ultimately replaced a sensor. The system seemed to work for a few days but then the driver side alert (on side mirror) stopped working; if I turned off the BSM feature and then turned it back on then it seemed to work (until I turned the car off). After a couple of days I received flashing alerts on the dashboard that the BSM and RCT malfunctioned.

I also hear a clicking type noise that seems to be coming from the rear driver side area of vehicle after I start it. I’m not sure what this is but it sounds abnormal.

There have been no accidents and I have less than 3000 miles on the odometer.

I am bringing it back to the dealer in a few days.

This is a shot in the dark but you might have a bad car battery some times if they are not holding a good charge you will notice some electronic gremlins.

 

A bad battery caused my BSM to stop functioning. Once the battery charged, after driving a while, it would start working again and my warning indicators went off. Just something to consider. There are many others who have had this “bad” battery issue.

I have a 2020 ES 350 F-Sport
I have a problem with the driver side blind spot monitor staying on, or turning on for no reason when driving on the freeways? Mine will go on saying there is a car next to me, and nothing, especially when I put the blinker on changing lanes,
or it's picking up the opposite side traffic going by.

I did put a new battery in the vehicle 2 months ago, and it's been acting up a lot on me

 

I also have a 2020 f-sport @ 14,000K and don't have any issue yet. Fingers crossed.
