Default Initial Telephone Call Volume

My wife and I have both noticed the initial telephone call volume is quite low - like around 32. We can only barely hear at this volume and always have to quickly crank it up. This seems to be the case whether initiating or receiving a phone call. Has anyone else noticed this and/or have you found a fix/adjustment to default new calls to a higher volume?

For reference, I am referring to volumes via standard Bluetooth paired iPhone 11 Pros that have the latest operating system on them (IOS 13.2.2). Perhaps this is the case to get me to revisit Apple CarPlay?

Thanks!

Using Bluetooth is probably the issue. My call volume while using Carplay will remain at the same level as the last call. Also, 32 volume is pretty loud for me while driving I usually have it in low to mid 20's.

Interesting...and perhaps an entirely different issue regarding the volume. At 32, we can only barely hear it. We generally have to crank it up to max. As I say this, I’m wondering if it is the volume the phone is set at that is the issue? I seem to recall this discussion elsewhere as I think this through, perhaps in the 6th gen forum. I’m going to have to search again.

Thanks!

Correct, more than likely you have to raise the volume on your phone.
