Jerky Trans Fixed, I think
In the 2025 transmission update thread, see spyder24's post #1 where he mentions using a scan tool to force the (transaxle) relearn procedure and my post #2 for the link to the lexguide.net Lexus ES (XZ10) Service Manual's UA80E transaxle initialization procedures which include procedures for resetting the transaxle's ECM memory and for retraining the ECM to a state of smooth shifting.
The Service Manual memory reset procedure uses Techstream to do the rest, but as spyder24's post indicates other scan tools have the capability to initiate a transaxle ECM memory reset so you don't strictly need Techstream for that task.

I've often wondered if the ES senses who is driving (based on which key fob is used) and changes the response of the tranny and engine based on the learned history of each driver. Or, does it average the two driving styles? Or, does it default to the settings of the driver who drives the ES the most?
I've driven cars with auto transmissions for 40+ years and until the ES I never gave automatic shifts a second thought. They just happened when they were supposed to.
I don't understand the purpose of an "adaptive learning" transmission.
I don't believe it's for CAFE standards so I have to conclude it's software engineers with too much time on their hands.

With the engine on, reset the adaptations;
Drive the car for 15 mins so it can relearn the driving habits;
It will record that driving style, shifting points and others. It will be linked with that very driver.
Techstream or other high end diagnostic tool.

I found This article explaining adaptive learning transmission technology.
These points stood out:
③ Improve fuel efficiency: One of the main goals of gear learning is to improve fuel efficiency.
④ Enhanced driving experience: Gear learning helps provide a more personalized and comfortable driving experience. When a transmission adapts to driver preference, it provides smoother transitions between gears, reducing jerkiness or hesitation during acceleration or deceleration.
⑤ Reduced wear: Gear learning helps reduce wear on transmission components by optimizing gear changes based on driving conditions. Smoother transitions between gears extend the life of your transmission and improve overall reliability.

So I have a 2025 ES 350 F sports handling. 3500 miles on it. Bought new with 5 miles on odometer, ( ( 5 months was garaged as I went to my summer home on cape cod, so car was not used June through oct)
Trans seemed a tiny bit zerky but over the past few months seems pretty smooth. Is this what you all call it's learning how I drive? I'm the only driver. My partner doesn't drive it
I love the car

I experienced jerkiness the first 500 miles during the learning phase.
At 7,000 miles butter smooth in all modes.
I would never use eco mode. I feel I could get killed if put in a situation where I need to move out of the way quick.
