Rear View Camera Recall Oct. 30, 2025
Exactly. I entered my VIN and got this message at the top of the screen:
Portions of the Department of Transportation are currently in shutdown/furlough status due to a lapse in appropriations.
And this message lower down:
An error occurred with your request. Recall information for your vehicle is not available at this time. Please contact Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. by phone at 1-800-331-4331 for recall information about your vehicle.

Since the remedy involves an "Update to the Panoramic View Monitor System’s Parking Assist ECU", I assume it only applies to vehicles equipped with the 360 option/software.
The NHTSA website has uploaded the related recall info on 25V744000. Only applies to vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) / 360 camera.

What do they do when you go in to get this recall taken care of? Do they take stuff a part? My dealership is not particularly careful with my car when I bring it in. I always have to wash it or clean it up when I get home.
I happened to look at my phone's Lexus app today and found there is now a safety recall. Online search found it was announced Oct. 30, 2025, and involves over a million vehicles. Recall 25LA06. Image may freeze or not display. They plan a software update.

Thanks!!!!
I can't remember whether it was always like this or if it's a side effect of the fix, but I've only recently become aware of it.
For those who’ve already had the fix applied; have you noticed any slight stuttering (like low frame rate) effect in the backup camera video or it's something normal?
Thanks!

I had mine done mid January, 2026. But honestly, though, I can't remember whether it was always like this or if the stuttering is a side effect of the fix. It's minimal, but noticeable, especially in the backplate camera view angle.
I'm still old-school and mostly prefer turning my head and using the mirrors when backing up, so my memory of the backup camera behavior isn't the best. I do, however, use the front camera view quite a lot.

I had the recall done in mid-January and haven't noticed anything different. At least once a week I back into my driveway using the backplate camera.
