Auto-fold Mirrors

When I got my ES Premium Edition in 2021 I asked the dealer to Take care of auto-folding the mirrors on locking - per the supplied handbook. They were unable to achieve this but did manage to get the sunroof and windows to close on a long press.
A little frustrating as all hardware is present for this to be achieved. No big deal but if any of you guys with the same model have got this to work, do let me know.

Mine is 2020 Premium and the brochure shows the folding option is standard in that option pack. The mirrors do fold automatically with the door lock as long as the folding switch is in the middle position (neither folded nor unfolded). 2021 brochure shows same…folding mirrors with Premium package. Per the manual it is a feature that can be enabled or disabled via the OBD port (techstream, Carista, et al). Mike, the cars built for different markets usually have quite different option variables..,as an example I believe the ones for the Australian market may have rear seat heaters…our North American ones can only dream. We also get the 3.5 litre V6, you can only dream.

It’s interesting to hear of what they decide should be available in what markets. Some makes sense, like the executive rear seat package for, say Europe, where the ES is often chauffeured, but not here in NA what that isn’t the case, but things like different mirrors or cup holders can be a head scratcher.
