Recommendations for new tires
I have the CC2 on my Acura Mdx and we are putting them on the NX. They are a snow and ice oriented tire, probably the best I have ever used in Colorado. They are not a tire for the desired application. They are directional, can be a little noisy on certain roads and while much better than run flats, not a luxury tire.

They are so many Michelin... Depends what you buy. 90% of any tires what the company give 60-70 K warranty, they are not good and are chip. The one with 45-30 K are match better. What you pay it's wat you got....
I never bought Michelins -they came oem on my ES and our 17 RX.
Our household has an ES and an old Prius. The Prius has CC2's, and the ES has Quatrac Pro's. The CC2's do exactly what they're advertised to do in wet and snow traction. But with their noise level, I will not put them on the ES.
Now, I've read that the new CC3 generates a lower-frequency and therefore less conspicuous noise than CC2. I'll be interested to hear more opinions about that.

All manufacturers put a tire on that only lasts 20-30k. I took my Bridgestones off my Acura at 10k because they were terrible. Our new NX? The Bridgestones are coming off at 100 miles. They are a no go in snow!
let's see - about 30 or 35k on the oem Michelins, 50k on Goodyears with plenty still to go. Hmmmm which ones will I stay with.
I had Cross Climate II for 6 years on a Gen 6. They were used from April to late October each year. Great traction, especially in the wet…a lot less tendency to hydroplane. But…I found them noisy and, I believe, they have a bit more rolling resistance (read “less fuel efficient”) than other Grand Touring tires. I’m using Defender II now for my non-winter tires. Much quieter even though changing from a 2014 to a 2020 ES at the same time.
Thanks

You must have Amish Goodyears from the steel. Goodyears are 80% bad tires. The other 20% you pay enormous money for. You like those tires, no problem. But do not make others believe that they are great. Tires when is not true. Remember, this is a forum to learn. Michelin is recognized by everybody as one of the greatest in the world. Have a nice day.
I have great respect for the Michelin brand dating back to the original Michelin X tires. But in many applications, other manufacturers offer competitive alternatives.
How about every manufacturer has a range of products, including not the best ones mounted on new cars?
