The biggest pet peeve of the ES interior, for me, is the seat back panels being black no matter what interior color you choose. We are trying to avoid going with black for our next ES, which means the panels will kinda stick out like a sore thumb.

Has anyone tried getting vinyl material and re-covering them with a different color?

I'm not a pro with vinyl wrapping but I have dabbled with it in the past. Pretty sure the vinyl won't stick that well or it's going to look pretty bad since the panel is textured. You're better off spray painting it.

 

It wouldnt be vinyl wrap but rather vinyl seating material...basically pleather

You can buy Katzkin material by the yard and they have a ton of colors and patterns. Pretty sure there would be a match for most of the Lexus interior choices.
