Can you upgrade the backup cameras in the 7th generation es300?

 

While I don’t know for certain, something tells me you can’t. Aside from the camera itself you’d probably have to upgrade software and possibly hardware somewhere along the line as well. Electronics in cars don’t seem to be designed (probably intentionally) for us to be able to readily “upgrade” their systems, so you want better, buy our new model sort of thinking.

 

I was thinking maybe they’d be interchangeable newer model years. I have a 2021 and notice a significant improvement in quality on the 2024 models.

 

i rather think that’s the point…the car makers don’t want them to be interchangeable.
