You can see the ends of the dash trim piece when the door is opened and it looks like plastic.
That’s the only way to the cut end(s). Remember all of the woods are veneer and are glued to a base, and that would leave a rough looking end cap so it gets sealed up both for appearance and to prevent failure of the adhesion from moisture intrusion.
I have Bamboo and Flaxen seats with chocolate dash and I think it looks great. Plastic, wood, vinyl, grass, I really don't care because it looks good. Steering wheel too. I think that Lexus did a very good job on the interiors with the exception of the piano black that scratches so easily.

So in the above picture are the seats "Flaxen" and the steering wheel and the dash "Bamboo?" If so the flaxen looks similar to the current palomino color.

That photo is exactly my interior... Very happy with it, I've not seen the Palomino to compare.
Hate to see that they’ve apparently discontinued the chocolate brown dash and carpet. I have it in my 2021 and, with Palamino and dark wood inserts in brown steering wheel, find it to be my all time favorite. If I can’t get it in my next Lexus, I’ll keep my current one—- if only because of that beautiful and no longer available interior.

The 26 MY is obviously still a mystery, but check out my earlier post on the 2025 ES—it's got the lowdown on those interior accoutrements tucked away somewhere. I'd dig it up for you, but it's Sunday, and laziness is my religion today. Haha!

And your Atomic Silver which is also discontinued...

I've compared the grain pattern of different cars and it's always the same pattern.
