Mini tablet on top of shift ****? Might consider adding a hands free phone option as well:
(PS the hybrid energy monitor on the 22 and earlier models looks so much better and informative than what they use in the new 23 software for the 300h. I turn it on sometimes with a passenger who asks about the hybrid system but it’s now a worse illustration.)

LOL you're right I hate this. Why though, it is awkward and unsafe, confusing multiple sounds coming from both systems (imagine when you cross a state border and receive a incoming call LOL tell me what will you hear LOL, it also take up all the space and make everything cramped and tacky.
It creates more problems than problems that it "might" solve...
A $80 adapter on Amazon will do much better, even I'm not a big fan of it, I will have to say it beats this setup by 1.19 miles
OK at least it can do that I guess via 3.5mm audio jack right?
Looking down like that can be dangerous, especially in a heavy traffic at a strange location, even for few seconds...
Why don't you just mount your phone to somewhere at your eyesight's level, or use a wireless CarPlay adapter?

The sound actually goes through Bluetooth. I have a wireless CarPlay adapter. I'm enjoying this for now. Feel free to post another message on how I am doing it wrong.
These adapters only work for cars that have built in apple car play or android auto. These do not have the software on them themselves.
Correct, he has the bigger screen so most likely he as navigation built-in.
