So I've been playing around with the voice commands a lot, and have been able to set basically all the climate control and music settings by voice. I can even raise the rear sunshade. However, I cannot figure out what command will control the switch for inside or outside airflow.

This got me wondering - is there an exhaustive list of voice commands? The owners manual has a list, but it's just a list of suggestions, and there are clearly things that are not on it (e.g. rear sunshade, for example).

 

What you say if you want to raise the rear shade?

 

I didnt go out and turn on my car to check, but I believe it was "hey lexus raise the rear sunshade"

 

I don't think there's any fixed list (of any size) of voice commands recognized by the Intelligent Assistance system. According to Toyota’s New In-House Intelligent Assistant Learns Voice Commands and Gets Smarter Over Time the cloud-based portion of the system is continually evolving from ongoing system developers' improvements and machine learning from system users' natural language spoken voice commands.

 

That is really interesting; I was not aware of that.

However, it’s a bit frustrating because finding out the right name for things is not always as obvious as one might think. Right now, asking it to change from recycled to fresh air, or reciprocated to exterior air, does not work. Since this intelligent assistant will be added to in the future, I can still hope they start listening for those words to connect to the switch, but it is unfortunate that even the name for that switch isn’t well defined and I’m scared it is already a command that I don’t know.

Incidentally it really is a great voice assistant. While having hardware switches for most things is nice, having to do nothing except talk is nicer!
