In an effort to continue pulling this thread away from it's original topic, a question about these easy-on/easy-off spray waxes: Are they intended to be a one-and-only wax for the car, or just a maintenance in between traditional buffer-applied wax applications?

If used and applied correctly, this product is extremely easy. After the first application there is no rubbing out, no streaks, no residue if applied per manufacturer's directions. Simply spray each vehicle panel ONCE and when finished spray it off with your hose. Then dry with your high quality cotton towel. See? simple... no streaks and no wax left on the car... Comes out perfect every time for me... Lesley248 said it: "In short, the product is great when you use it correctly but also know how much to use. Less is more".

Yeah I didn’t follow the “once” per panel when I used spray ceramic wax and it was a greasy mess to remove. Looks and feels great now though and stays clean.

Reporting back using the leaf blower in my post #13 above. The blower was great for the hard to reach areas that seem to leak water from unseen or hidden areas. The two such areas on the IS are, the trunk and gas cap area. I opened the trunk and used the blower on all the areas that water was starting to trap in. Same with the gas cap area. The leaf blower worked like a charm. I also used it on the body panels of the car etc. Took me about 15 minutes, used up the entire charge of one battery but it was sufficient. Much less tedious IMO than hand drying. I did have to hand dry a couple of tiny areas for about 1-2 minutes. All that said, if you add up the time, yes you're not really saving any "time" vs hand drying with a microfiber etc. But its less tedious, if you can call drying a car tedious lol but you get the picture.

I started out using the turtle wax, ceramic hybrid spray, which is a great product, but I moved on to the Torque ceramic spray, which is even better. As far as drying goes, I use my Makita blower and follow that up with a dreadnought towel.

The detailing sites seem to be pushing Meguiar's G210300 Hybrid Paint Coating Kit. Anyone have any experience with it?
