Ring Tone
Hey folks, quick question. I recently downloaded a new ring tone for my Motorola Android phone... but now when i'm in the car and the phone rings, I hear the ring tone going on the phone itself, but thru the speakers on the car I hear "you have an incoming call" or something to that effect... Is there a way I can set it up so that the ring tone on the phone itself plays thru the speakers on the lexus... if not, no big deal, just curious... thank you in advance for your help...

With all the phones I've used since owning my 2013, I get a ringing sound through the speakers. Weird that you get a voice telling you of an incoming call. I've never heard of a way to change this.

You have a choice of several different ringtones thru your car speakers. I believe that there are 4-5 to select from including a voice message that you just heard saying
"you have an incoming call". You cannot set it to play the same ringtone that you have on your Android phone.
I just did this yesterday when I was playing around with trying to use voice texting and found this setting. If memory serves me, you go into "setup", phone, and there you'll find the ringtones available. You can play each one until you decide which one you want then save it.

Thanks for the reply.. yeah, I'm aware of the setting to select the ring tone. Next time I think of it I'm going to go into the settings and see if you can opt for " no " ringtone... If there is a "no" ringtone setting, then obviously the only ringtone I would hear would be coming directly off the phone...
