Tow hitch or no tow hitch?
My ES 2017 manual stated on page 152 something to the effect of: Lexus does not recommend installing a tow hitch even just for carrying a bicycle. I found this to be disappointing given the size and horse power of the ES.
Then I saw this:

Apparently Curt has a tow hitch for the ES 2016
Did anyone have a tow hitch installed? How does it look?
I saw tiny cars out there carrying bicycles with tow hitch (CT200h, mini cooper, Hyundai accent etc.). Did they get the same no no recommendation? Tried a search, but didn't get any ES 6th gen thread on this subject (?)
All I want to do is to carry my bikes in ways that won't damage the car paint, and installing a tow hitch has worked in the past for me.
Thanks in advance for any pointer.

I guess a hitch can be installed at one's own risk since Lexus is against it.
It is good to know that some had done it successfully though.
