Default Alert: Nav system locking up

Issue is nation-wide and is affecting vehicles equipped with nav and lexus enform.

Manual reset by disconnecting battery for 10 minutes will bring systems back online

What years? I've had no issues.

Seems to affect the newer vehicles, so 2013 or newer vehicles with active Enform subscriptions

Where did you get this info? I've only heard of issues on the 2016's across a few lines.

I'm a Service Adviser at a Lexus dealership. We've been resetting cars all morning.

Why all of a sudden? Did a (bad) over-the-air update go out? Which I didn't think that was possible

This appears to only affect the 2015 and 2016 models, which have the updated nav's. Doing a quick search of the forums seems to support this.

Great info, thanks for posting, and awesome to have a Service Advisor on the board!

I spoke to someone at the dealership and they said that a military operation took out the satellites?

WTF?!?!?

From Lexus Corporate:

One of our partner suppliers conducted an update to our radio (which is not unusual) that has caused a problem to the navigation system. We are aware of the problem and are working on a fix now. This is not a cyber attack.

So 10min battery disconnect working? Sux can't use Bluetooth, radio or even usb to charge my phone. I don't like how everything is tied together like that.

Lexus61030-Thanks for posting this Nav. System ALERT.
My 2016 Lexus ES350 Navigation and Radio were working fine until this morning at approx. 11:00AM and then they both went down. The Lexus Enform kept trying to reinitialize but it wasn't able to.
I just did the 10 minute battery disconnect and the Navigation and Radio are now working.
I recommend that Lexus award you a bonus ($500 min.) for saving them numerous dealer visits and unsatisfied customers.
Again thanks,

Armando

Ya I was thinking of calling them to complain. I just got my car less than a week ago. I don't like how everything is tied together through the enform system. At least I can give my feedback.

Brighter note. I just reset battery last night. I didn't drive it but I checked this morning and it still working properly.
