Did they go into details about which models made it the best, or is it Lexus in general?

What's so special about Buick? The Lacrosse hasn't been redesigned since 2009 and I have not heard anything about a redesign. The Enclave has been around even longer than that without a total redesign. And what ever happened to the Grand National return?

Buick seems to be making a significant effort, in both vehicle design and marketing, to re-make its image. The smaller vehicles, both cars and SUVs, seem very un-Buick-like, and they appear to be an effort to attract younger buyers. And their recent array of advertising is built around the notion that people standing right next to a Buick can't tell that it is a Buick.

It has been years since I've even been in a Buick, and I have no idea whether there is anything about a Buick that would appeal to me, but it does seem as if Buick, with its attempt to re-create its image, is trying get those who had previously dismissed the thought of considering to buy a Buick to re-visit their thinking. It kind of reminds me of Oldsmobile's attempt to re-create its image with the "it's not your father's Oldsmobile" campaign. That didn't work too well for Oldsmobile. Time will tell if it works for Buick.

I looked at, and drove, a Buick Lacrosse before buying the Lexus. If I remember correctly it was turbocharged.
I had rented one in Europe - it was an Opel Insignia - and liked it. It was, when appropriately equipped, within a thousand dollars of the Lexus. I don't think - IMO - that it came close to the performance or quality of the 2013 ES350.
