Default My clock won't keep time

Car is a 2014 ES350 I think its running fast for some reason. when I reset the time the hands move evenly like they should. I accessed the time function thru the screen and it was correct, the clock was way off though. Also it said resetting the infotainment clock does not effect the dash clock.

Any thoughts??

Any solutions???

I removed my clock from the dash, disassembled it and glued the magnet and white gear together, there is a thread with pictures and good how to do, it may have been in the GS350 section but a search should find it, if you search my posts it should come up as well since I thanked and commented on the fix. The clocks are around 250 bucks, the repair is not that hard.

Thanks for the tips!!! Is there a way to get the nav/radio screen to display the time on all menus?? That thing is always right if I go to "system time" thru a bunch of menus.

I don’t have NAV so I can’t say for sure, although I seem to recall several comments saying the dash clock and clock in the nav are independent, I’m not sure if it’s possible to always have the time show on your screen? The dash clock fix was pretty easy and worth the hour or so it will take you.

Show your mechanic this thread, I repaired a co-workers GS350 about a year ago, his clock had a few differences from mine, an extra board and electrical plug but same fix. I’m not positive for 2018, if it’s the same basic Lexus clock, should be the same fix, mine kept running too fast.
