Default Part ID Help

Good morning Club! My 2014 ES350 has been missing a part here below the passenger seat, and I'm having trouble finding the part online. If someone could head to their garage and get me the part number of this, I will dance at your wedding and cry at your funeral!

That's just a plastic "plate" that has the VIN on it. Those things are annoying because they are always falling out: I'd just lift the carpet and slap a bit of duct tape in a beige colour over the two holes. (I used a piece of two-sided Gorilla tape to keep the plastic cover in place).

That piece was knocked loose on my car when I bought it (used) and I figured a detailer caused that by vacuuming and possibly shampooing. The replacement advertised part does not have the VIN#, as far as I can tell? All the parts to this car are outrageously priced. I compared a single headlight assembly priced at $600 for a '15 ES to a my old '05 Buick's at $44. Sure, they're far from identical, but is it 15x better? I didn't need one, I was just curious. All the more reason to take well care of this vehicle. I doubt you could go to a junkyard and find parts for it, either.

I think the plate actually covers the VIN which is stamped into the framing…you can see part of the VIN at the right-hand end under the carpet. Yes, $40 for a piece of injection molding is ludicrous…double sided tape if you haven’t lost it yet, duct tape if you have.

Yes, that's where the VIN# was stamped. Not on the cover, which is a little flimsy. No wonder yours was lost. Mine isn't very snug. Notice the glove box dividers when you change your cabin filter. It's the same material quality. Handle with care.
