Hello! Just recently got a 2014 es300h and am finding the sound system a bit lackluster and looking to replace the stock subwoofer. Just wondering how much power the stock amp gives and at what impedance?

 

Hi burn1ndawn - lackluster sound is a common problem with Lexus as various reviews have pointed out. I found an excellent thread on updating the dash and door speakers (Speaker upgrades) and have updated my dash speakers in my 2017 ES 300h so far, and will soon be updating my door speakers. The "Speaker upgrades" thread also discusses adding door insulation which also helps improve the sound and quiet the ride. The rear subwoofer replacement is a major undertaking which requires removing the rear seat. Lots of good information in that thread including improvements in sound noted by various ES owners who have upgraded their speakers so check it out.
