purchased a 2017 es350 with navigation and 45000 miles about 3 weeks ago. three times now after driving about 30 minutes the navigation system goes black and then immediately reboots ok . But this morning when it went black it stayed on the welcome screen until she restarted the car. thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

 

I occasionally have this problem on startup of my own 17 ES. To me it seems to be related to not driving the car enough to keep the battery fully charged or to the fact that my vehicle is still on the original battery and it is starting to fail. However I'm not sure that would explain it going blank while driving at highway speeds. I would also check the Lexus website to see if there are any software updates available. If these two things check out ok then the only other recourse would be a dealer diagnosis of the issue unless someone else chimes in with other ideas.
