Missing inner door grab handle carpet piece...see post for explanation
Am I the only one that is missing the little piece of felt or thin carpet that is located on the inside of every door...it is in the bottom of the door handle grab well and its purpose is to cover the screw. I dont know what else to call it other then.......its the handle that u grab from inside your car to close your door....well if u look in that handle where your finger tips slide into you will see a small piece of felt or carpet. My car is missing 3 of the 4 pieces. Now my car was in a rear end accident so it is possible that a body person for some reason removed an inner door panel to remove a dent....or something????? But my car is a 2016 with only 21k miles on it so I think it is more likely that Lexus just didnt glue these pieces in very well. We shall see if anyone else replies.>...........
Thanks
Thanks

When I got my '15 cpo with 21k mileage it was missing one as well. My dealer gave me one they had spare altho it doesnt fit as it is too small but it's better than nothing. It's to my back driver side seat

Thanks for the reply......just by one other person missing one it tells me its gunna be a common theme. I plan on just making my own replacements from neoprene or wool blend carpet........just a pair of scissors and some removable adhesive is all that will be needed.

Thanks for the replies........yes its an easy repair. I just purchased this car recently and as I was detailing the interior I noticed they were missing. I thought it was kind of an odd thing for these to go missing.......wouldnt the owner just put them back in? I figure they fall out when someone slams the door and end up in the footwell.....when they are found people dont know what they are and they just chuck them.

Honestly my others dont come out easily at all. My thought process is that they must have worked on that door panel or something since there is a screw there. Carfax didnt say anything about it but it isnt full proof. Sometimes what you dont know wont hurt you. We are blessed to drive an amazing car.

They just lay in there, no adhesive. Its either they were removed when the door panels were removed or they were sucked up into a vacuum, etc
