We own a 2015 ES 350 in Mica Red with Parchment interior. It is the base model that we got for a good deal from a non-Lexus dealer. I am somewhat regretful that we didn't hold out for a higher trim level. I am considering switching over the black dash and door trims, shift **** and steering wheel with OEM pieces sourced from wrecking yards and part outs. I would like the proper shade of wood that would have come in a parchment interior. I know that bamboo is out since it only came on 300h models. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I don't want to apply veeners or wraps.Thank you.
I believe that, with the parchment interior, there were a couple of wood choices available. The 2013 ES that I owned for 3 1/2 years had the parchment interior, and its wood trim was the dark bird's eye maple. I'm pretty sure that a light bird's eye maple was also available with the parchment interior.
Thank you lesz. I ordered some returnable trim pieces from a recycling yard on ebay. They look so dark, you can hardly see the burls. I'm going to return them and maybe make a trip over to Sacramento area where there are tons of junkyards, some with 6th gen ES cars.
You might look for the Bamboo pieces...they really look sharp on the Parchment interior and I wish I'd been able to find one when I was in the market a year ago.

I'm not clear. Have you actually gotten the trim pieces that you ordered or have you just seen pictures and are you still waiting for delivery? I ask because, my recollection of the dark bird's eye maple that I had on that 2013 ES is that, in real world light, the grain/burls showed up quite well, and it looked quite nice.
I have received the two dash pieces and one of the door pieces. I would look at them outside, but it's raining now and will be all week. If we get a sunny break, I could do it then. Good ideas all the way around. That's why I posted.
