Default Black leather dye

Does anyone know a decent leather dye to order (maybe off Amazon), based on my interior code? It's real leather btw, not nu-luxe. Perhaps the color doesn't have to be a perfect match. Planning to do a lacquer thinner touch-up, mixing a little dye with a little lacquer thinner, mostly to bring up some of the original dye to cover slight imperfections.

We have parchment in both our ES and RX. Have used this companies dye and a perfect match. Did not dilute. Easy to apply.

I haven't tried any of the kits available for DIY. I've always had this kind of work done by a pro. You state that you're addressing slight imperfections. Not repairing damage from age or other. This may be a case of "if it ain't broke" as you could make it look worse permanently. Good luck.

Mine do only have a few patches of wrinkles in the usual spots. But the idea of bringing up some of the original dye with lacquer thinner to fill in the wrinkles and cracks makes sense to me. I'm amazed to see the results in the video, and from the comments, it seems like many are having success.

Just curious if someone has tried this (or another DIY solution) for cracks on Lexus leather. It seems a bit on the delicate side.

How do you look up the code to see if you have leather or nuluxe?

Did you do anything to the leather yet? Hoping for us all here to learn from you.

Good and bad. It will wear better than leather and the average person can’t tell the difference unless you inform them. But you don’t get the leather smell or the prestige of leather. In my humble opinion, I wouldn’t worry about it. I have/had both and actually prefer the NuLuxe. Opinions will vary.
