Default Mobil One Rebates

Hello everyone ... for those of you who buy your own oil and filters, Mobil 1 is running a rebate offer that runs thru the end of Sept. $12 bucks back if you buy 5 quarts of mobil 1 synthetic, and 17 bucks back if you buy 5 quarts of synthetic oil AND a Mobil 1 EP oil filter. btw, noticed the other day that Wal mart has the mobil 1 EP ( 15,000 miles oil ) 5 quart bottle on sale for 25.77.. Normally the Mobil 1 EP synthetic runs around 28.88 Makes sense to buy the 5 qt. bottle at 25.77 since the 1 qt bottles are now going for 8.96 apiece... five of those would run you over 40 bucks. for you guys that buy mobil 1 oil filters, I just bought mine tonight off Ebay.. M1C-251A That's the extended performance mobil 1 filter. Walmart has them for 16.34 plus tax.... I found one for 10.88 and free shipping.. I think I got the last one at that price but there were still several offers on ebay for that filter below 12 bucks. just wanted to make sure you all knew about the rebates.

Just bought two five quart jugs regular Mobil 1 at Walmart for $23 each. After the rebate brings it down to $11 for five quarts. Takes three minutes to fill out form on line and upload pic of receipt. Requested check be mailed instead of emailed and than printed. My bank looked at it and was puzzled however did let me deposit it. Thought easier to just mail which takes a little more time. I take my oil and Toyota filter bought on line $5 to my local Lexus dealer or Toyota dealer who charges me $30 labor. Total for oil change $46 for 10,000 miles. Besides saving money bringing my own oil, I am using what I think is a better brand. My local Lexus Service manager told me if you come in and buy oil you are buying Toyota synthetic oil which is made by Mobil. When you request an oil change they use drums to fill and use a brand sorry can not remember the name but is not a top rated brand.

Walmart is excluded from this rebate (that is why they can keep their price so low) - see the list of participating retailers. Even if the rebate submission somehow works (i.e. people at Mobil not properly doing their job) it would be considered cheating/stealing in my book.

Received the rebate from Mobil having bought my oil from Walmart for well over five years and probably 15 rebates. The uploaded receipt states Walmart. On the fill in form they ask what retailer I bought it from and I state Walmart. Hardly see how this is what you call cheating/stealing.

I always buy my oil from Walmart, and I have submitted my rebate online with pics of my receipt clearly showing it's from walmart.. I've never had an issue with the rebate buying it from Walmart...I will concede one thing, I just looked at the participating retailers on the Mobil1 site and sure enough, Walmart is NOT listed. Even so, I don't consider it stealing... more like a lazy employee at Mobil not doing their job.

I don't often take the time to slam a co., and I've been doing this for years, getting the Mobil 1 rebates. But the 2019 rebate stinks. Not only did it take 4 mos. for the rebate check to be issued, but the emailed check was not readable by my banking app. It's not my printer. The check is crystal clear with some numbers around the check number that are unreadable. My laser printer is 600dpi lol

Mobil 1 is better than that, they need to choose a better co. to administer the rebate. Pennzoil took 2.5 weeks.

Yes I got the oil from Walmart and Walmart is fine.

Next time, I will opt for a paper check, not the iR check. This is why IT folks get paid big bucks lol

I always get my oil at Walmart and use the rebate when available. Has always been processed easily and quickly. I don't know why Walmart would even be excluded in the first place...

Good deal with rebate. I haven't tried it, but Amazon has their own brand of synthetic oil which meets the "API" letter designation/standards set by manufacturers, the same as Mobil 1 and it's less expensive all the time, delivered to your doorstep.

I still have not received my M1 rebate submitted mid September 2019. (Maybe got lost in the mail?) Im not going to complain too much as the Walmart M1 price was quite good.
The previous 2 years M1 rebates were processed and delivered to me within a month or so. All were Walmart purchases and submitted electronically.

Edit: Guess what showed up in the mail box today - my rebate check dated 12/26/19, Over three months after submission, Just happy it was not lost.
