Non hybrid ES 350 owners, what is your avg MPG?
today marks 1 month since i bought the car, was a cpo with 37k miles.
i drove the whole month on ECO mode and my commute is 80% highway, 20% stop and go.
I do have a slightly heavy foot on the gas, but nothing crazy. I cruise the highway at 50-60 mph.
my avg mpg is at 18.4.
I think this car is listed at 21 city / 31 highway.
i'm nowhere close to that.
Maybe i need to reset ECU to re-learn my driving style?
Would love to hear what others are getting as far as mpg on their V6 ES.

I got around 31 mpg's on a long road trip last year. When I used to daily drive it, about 40 miles a day mixed city/highway, I was averaging a little over 25 mpg's. Now that I fill-up about once every 4 months, I average around 16 mpg's. Mainly just around town driving on the weekends.

I averaged 18.3 mpg for the life of the car.
A few days after that, I took my first 2 hour freeway trip. For that trip, I got 30 or 32 mpg.
Last month, I tried the same 2 hour freeway trip in sport mode. I still got 30 or 31 mpg on that trip.
The past several weeks, I have been only doing sport mode. I want to see what I can get on a full tank of gas, with the same driving routes I had before (so hardly any freeway). If I can do that, then I will report back.

I live in a fairly isolated rural area. Very little of my driving is done in stop-and-go urban conditions. Most of my driving is on 2-lane county or township roads. I use the ECO mode most of the time, and my driving style is much more conservative than what it would have been 15 or 20 years ago. With my 2017 ES, I typically get around 32 mpg (actually calculated). While the lack of stop-and-go driving is good for fuel economy, the fact that there is lots of hilly terrain in the area brings down mpg a bit.
When I've taken longer trips on terrain that was relatively flat, I've gotten as good as around 36 mpg. On the rare occasions when I have to drive in stop-and-go conditions, the mpg may drop into the range of 26-28 mpg. Also, I don't drive the ES in the winter, but, in the late fall or early spring, when the temperatures are colder, mpg may drop by a couple miles per gallon.
When I had my 2013, mpg was typically about 1 mpg better than what I get with the 2017 ES. My guess is that the slightly higher mpg with the 2017 is the result of 2 factors. First, the 2017 has the all glass roof, which I'm assuming weighs more than the smaller standard sunroof on the 2013. I'm also guessing that the power consumed by the additional safety features on the 2017 is higher than what was needed with the 2013.

Around town I get around 24 mpg.... on a long road trip, I always get 31.2..... it has on occasion gone up to 33 mpg. please know this is what the on board computer is telling me... I didn't actually write the mileage down and then gas up and do the calculation.. in any event I've been very happy with the mileage...

i think we both have heavy foots on the gas, LOL.
i'd be happy with 22-24 average mpg.
i drive 14-20 miles a day total. i have to fill up every week and a half. at around 200 miles driven, my gas is at the last tick.
i wonder, does the octane of gas used affect mpg at all? <----dumb question of the day

The octane doesnt make a difference for me. Sometimes I fill it up premium when the price is good, sometimes regular. I fill up premium more often in winter time and if I know I'm not going to empty the tank anytime soon with a long drive

Without question, the two most important variables that affect fuel economy are where you drive and how you drive.

22-23 mpg mostly in town driving.
On a road trip on the highway it goes up significantly.
I'm actually a little disappointed in that my last Lexus LS430 with a V8 (and a lot more weight) averaged around 19-20mpg on basically the same route. Car was also 10 years older. ES really doesn't beat it by much.

i don't know, i'm trying to drive it as serene as possible. keeping rpm under 2k, cruising at 50-60 mph on highway.
today i tracked 230 miles driven since i last full tanked it. Gas needle in between empty and first tick. I filled up 13.1 gallons today to full tank it again. This would equate to around 17.xx mpg.
i don't know, could something be wrong with my car?
btw, my last car a benz c300 with the turbo 4 was averaging 24 mpg and i was driving it like i stole it.
