My 2015 ES front end is painted black on the very bottom? Id rather have it white

 

Does anyone else have this?

 

I suspect it is "wrapped". I don't know much about that, but some folks use black "wrap" to make things black. If you bought this ES used, I suspect that is what happened. As far as removing wrap, I do not know how to do it, but I suspect it is doable. The '14-'19 ESs had a body-colored frontend...so that's why I think it should be white underneath.

The bottom of your bumper could have a wrap on it or it could be painted. Another possibility is that it could have an aftermarket lip attached to the bottom of the bumper. I can't tell for sure from the pictures, but, to me, it does look like an aftermarket lip has been attached to the bottom of the bumper.

Also, for the 2013-2015 ES. the bar between the upper portion of the grille and the lower portion of the grille would have come from the factory with the same color as the rest of the car. So, that part of the bumper has also been either wrapped or painted, and there is no question that the bumper on your car has had mods done to it.

I actually like what's on the bottom of your bumper more than the all fit lip kit I put on mine

 

Is the roof vinyl wrapped too?

 

From the second pic it looks like the top half of the grille is black as well (instead of the stock chrome), if that is true and my monitor is not playing tricks on me then my guess would be that the grille was painted because I have seen other people say that wrapping the slats of the grille is pretty difficult and its easier to just paint everything including the body-colored cross bar.

For what its worth I think your car looks pretty sweet as is!

 

The grill is def all painted black

 

Well, I had the top and middle part of the front grille wrapped, along with the roof and the side window frames. The bottom front end came painted black. I cant seem to find the right wheels to compliment my ride and I do not like the black wheel look. any suggestions??

 

 

Do you mind me asking how much they charged you for wrapping the roof and grill?

 

My buddy owns a shop and he did it as a favor, I will ask him and let you know.

 

That's a good looking car, I wanna wrap my front bumper like that.
