Default Door Unlock Window Opening

How do I program the car/remote to get the windows and sunroof to open when the "unlock" button is held in? I have an '07 RX that opens the windows and sunroof when the remote unlock button is held in. I do recall seeing in the manual that the dealer can reprogram the car to make this happen but is this something I can do myself?

Thanks in advance.

There are 3 ways to do what you want to do. You can have the dealer do it. You can buy a wireless OBDII adapter and subscribe to the Carista app, or you can buy a copy of Toyota Techstream and an OBDII adapter.

Lexus models up to 2009 had the remote window/sunroof open and the key in the driver's door lock
cylinder close set as the default. When they went to the keyless fobs in 2010 the function was set
with the default set to disable. Lesz is correct, there is no menu available to us to enable those
features. The reasoning seems to be that some guests would inadvertently press the unlock button
and open the windows/sunroof...in the rain or snow. With the previous key style you were always
conscious of where the key is, with the keyless it can sink to the bottom of a purse or pocket and
might get accidentally pressed upon.

My 2008 ES has this feature and I love it, especially on a hot day. Alas, my 2017 will not allow it. 😥

Had the dealer enable it on my 2016 and 2018. I have the pano roof so the sunroof cannot be opened with the fob. I also had the dealer enable the key to put the windows up without the remote.
Great on hot days.

The Carista website has a list of items that can be customized for the ES.

https://caristaapp.com/vehicles/lexus/es/6th-gen

The Carista list should be virtually identical to what could be customized with TechStream.

Great on hot days.

I wish I could disable the roof from the windows.

They have an obdII adapter online you can get, it's fairly cheap ($18). Here's the one I bought, shipped really quick (got it within a week!).

Does this adapter allow you yo use your key fob to open windows or does it come with its own remote?
