Question 19" Wheels and Tires or 18"?

19" wheels and tires, who's got em and how is your ride since installing them. I currently have the 17" wheels on my 17 ES however I want something different, I am sure the ride will become a bit different but by how much.

If you can please post wheel size, offset and tire size and a picture if possible. I have NO plans to lower at all, just wheels and tires.

well I guess I'll state the obvious... if you go from a 17" rim to a 19" rim, you're going to feel a fairly substantial difference in ride quality.. Makes sense since you'll have less rubber between the rim and the road... I'm not saying it won't look good, but it will have a rougher ride. I have 225/45R/18 (XL) on my car and the ride isn't bad, but it isn't as good as the 17's... Personally I like the look of the 18's, and the ride quality is pretty decent since I got rid of the bridgestone turanza's and went with a much better tire... and going to a 19 will give you a rougher ride.. if you do change to a 19, always make sure your air pressure is correct and not over inflated. They'll ride even rougher with too much air in them. Good luck with your decision.

Maybe I will just opt for 18's then since those were a factory size from Lexus. I do like the 18" wheels lexus has on some ES 350s, but I would want them in black.

I have the 18" stock rims on my car and I dont think it drives rough and I'm coming from a car that used to have 15" lol. So I think going up to a 19" should not be too different.

I have 19's with a +35 offset.

Ride is less comfy but nothing you can't deal with - reduced sidewall. Also more road noise due to performance tires (that's all you get at 19+)

I like em but I need a cosmetic drop. That'll come soon.

(I can't post a pic yet, have to wait 30 days :/)

Absolutely show us some pics when you can. I want the bigger rim size for the summer time, and as for the drop I just dont see it being advantageous here in the pothole state of NJ

Very nice! Mean looking too. I like it. I planned to keep the stock 18" black rims on for the winter(boy they are a pain to keep clean) and get 19" wheels for the summer time. Time to save up some $$

Keep us updated. I love the stance of mine on 18, but I hear any thing on 19"+ needs to be lowered otherwise it will look odd in the wheel well. What springs are you looking into?

I think I have decided to goto a 18" wheel with 225/45/18 Pirellis I found a camry with the exact wheels I am looking at, and transposed them after scaling in photoshop.

nice photoshop job. I have to learn how to do that since I'm very undecided on what wheels I want. Narrowed it down to like 6 different ones lol. But it looks good. I ride 18" and it rides fine
