Not really worth worrying about now since you already pulled the trigger using the dealers numbers. Enjoy the car.

I also use the app its very good. Also use the personal assistant since it is included, also very good tho once they set the destination on a highway!
Your reality is not my reality. My reality is my dealer's reality. I am looking at a published sheet of various financial factors for the period 11/3/2015 to 1/04/16 titled "Lexus Financial Services". It includes MF, residuals, finance rates, Special Programs (i.e. Factory Money, etc) various Minnesota lease ta rates (varies based upon local taxes) and current license fees for each vehicle.

The MF is listed by vehicle and year and also is different for 10K/12K/15K leases. Thus, your "reality" is not my "reality". My dealer finance guy said there are regional differences in the financial factors and terms. I also believe that the dealers have discretion on financial factors but not positive.

In any case, I was comfortable with a total 10%+ Cap Cost Reduction and an effective interest rate of 1% for 48 months...for essentially a newly released model.

BTW...on the '15 F Sport I was considering the Total Cap Cost reduction was around 18% and the effective interest rate just over .1%...near zero %...would not go 48 months on that MF. "Better" deal but not what we ended up wanting.

IF my dealer does not have the "favorable" terms that others may have...it is likely due to the fact that they own both dealerships in the Mpls St Paul metro and quite a drive to another competitive dealership. Plus, I am comfortable they treated me well and it is important that they treat my wife well when she brings her car in for service. I worked them hard to get the deal I got.

Plus, when I went in after i had taken delivery to ask to trade tires...they ended up, on VERY short notice trading out the very poor Bridgestone's (ranked last of over 50 all season tires evaluated on Tire Rack...to Michelin Premier's which is essentially ranked "tied" for first out of the same 50+ tires on Tire Rack...for just $100 to switch and rebalance the four tires...again fitting me in nearly immediately on very busy end of Dec to Rem sale...lots of activity. Wouldn't have had that service if I had purchased 500-1000 miles away.

Wish it weren't winter...it hurts to get the new car full of road spray! TomMArtin

I've leased 6 Lexus vehicles and posted on Lexus forums for many years discussing leases with folks all over the country. The rates are the rates. The dealer is using their own rates which are higher than the rates available from LFS, which adds profit to the deal (thousands). LFS MFs do not change based on term.

That in a large part explains the significant reduction off of MSRP you got. Nothing can be done now...but they got ya.

Like the earlier gentleman said...you seem to be the Know it All on this site.

Not sure I have seen many '16 ES vehicles leased for 15K per year with more than 10% Cap Cost Reduction and a 1% effective interest rate. I am completely comfortable with my deal.

Why is it you seem to enjoy disputing what posters say. While I certainly accept that a dealer may publish a rate sheet that you have to negotiate from...I, unlike you, am not CERTAIN in everything I say while you seem to revel in your absolute knowledge while criticizing other posters opinions/statements.

I will not participate in your unpleasantness...these should be constructive discussions...not sure why you want to turn into personal "downers".

Best of luck...TomMartin

I'm not being unpleasant at all, but people come to this forum looking for information to help them negotiate deals, I and several others have spent hours and hours writing leasing tutorials and helping people negotiate leases on these cars. Yes you got a good rate, but you put out $3,500 in security deposits to get that rate, and what they did was offer you an unrealistically low price because they figured out that was your pain point, and then they inflated the MF and took that profit back making you think you got a better deal than you did. Dealers do this all the time.

I tried to help you before you did it but you ignored my questions as to your MF. That's fine you're happy, but other people will read this negotiating their deals and it's of benefit to them to know what happened here.

Presenting factual info that helps people is more important than making you feel happy, sorry.
