Just bought a CPO 2013 ES300h... when I lock the door using the remote the lights DO NOT FLASH. All other cars I've used have had this feature providing you feedback the car is locked. Is this normal?

If it is indeed not working - does anyone know that could be wrong with the car?

It beeps and the emergency flashers will flash if set for that in the Customization settings. It's in the manual, settings depend on your model and options.

Personalized Setting #9 allows you to set the lights to flash or not to flash when the doors are locked with the fob, and Personalized Setting #10 gives you options regarding sounds when the doors are locked with the fob. Both of those settings are available to the vehicle owner via the navigation system.

Car has the navigation screen - but technically there is no Nav option on the car. I assume we'll still be able to set the defaults.

with a bluetooth OBD2 gadget and the carista software you can access over 50 personal customize options, including the flashing and beeping option.

The personalized settings in question can be changed by the vehicle owner regardless of whether the car has a navigation system (and without need for the Carista app). Without a navigation system, they can be changed via the screen for the display audio system. Instructions for doing so can be found starting on page 852 of the 2013 ES owners' manual. For other model years, the exact page might be different, but finding it should not be difficult.

True it can be set... UNFORTUNATELY it is set, but there is no remote lock feedback- just remote unlock feedback. We're going to ask the dealer to fix it - I presume what is involved is just replacing the flasher (turn signal) relay - does that sound right?

I don't think it has anything to do with your flashers. The lights flash on my car, also a 2013, when I lock OR unlock the car. So if they're flashing for the unlock they should flash for the lock action. The settings are for lock/unlock tone (sound) and separately, lights flashing as Les posted. One beep for locked and two beeps for unlock. On or off in the "vehicle settings". Good Luck with figuring it out.

Nope- They have always both been set. See the attached picture. Anybody have an idea what is wrong?

You have a warranty. You should take it in, since it looks to be set up to function the way you'd expect.

Warning! Anyone else getting this problem - even though it SOUNDS like the car door was locking - it was only 3 car doors locking. The problem was ONE of the door locks wasn't working (so the car was unwittingly left unlocked.) Lexus fixed it gratis after ordering the part.
