There should be a whole list of items that will be coming or have come already from LFS. Basically its anything beyond "normal" wear and tear. Chips, parking lot dings, minor curb rash are all fine but beyond that you're liable

Never, ever, accept a complimentary car wash from the dealership. You will surely regret it whether leasing or owning.

Friends dont let friends use the dealers "free" car wash:

Left is after correction, right is after the dealer washed my car ONCE

And yes, I made the dealer pay to get the paint corrected.

Interesting about car wash. Both our Lexus and Acura dealers hand wash the vehicles and we have never had the swirls nor any other issues.

If you have an up close shot of any factory paint job you will see orange peel like that.

I'm sorry, it is first 2 scheduled maintenance. But with maintenance being needed only every 10,000 miles it works out to be about 2 years depending on how much you drive. I.e. right now on our '13 the free maintenance has ended, but we only have about 24k miles on it. That's about 12k miles a year. So wouldn't it be a safe bet to say it's complimentary maintenance for two years for most drivers?

I haven't had any bad experiences with my local dealers washing my cars, and we have owned 3 Lexus'. Although I have always hand washed and detailed the cars my self, there were a few times where my mom has taken her ES to a Mister Carwash, now that or any place like it is the worst place to go to get your cars washed.

Yeah, its noticeable up close, not so much from 10' away.

And this is actually a pic of my G37, in Malbec Black.

Ive yet to find ANY black car without at least a little orange peel.

And yes our Atomic SIlver ES has some orange peel. Its just a way of life as far as Im concerned.

Im sure I could reject 5 or 6 cars before getting one that is better than what we have. And Im not about to sit there and start rejecting cars left and right *hoping* to get a better one.

The truth is we arent buying $100K+ cars. Hell, even my friends Tesla has some orange peel and that *is* a $100K car.

1st scheduled maintenance is 5k, 2nd is 10k. Oil changes are every 10k, though.

No, it doesn't work out to two years because the first maintenance (rotation and inspection) is supposed to be done at 5000 miles or 6 months, whichever is sooner, and the second maintenance (rotation, oil change, and inspection) is supposed to be done at 10,000 miles or 1 year, which ever is sooner. So, the free maintenance lasts, at most, for 1 year.

I was referencing airgas1998's post about his orange peel, not the swirl marks.
