Default How can I change the default state in the Navigation System?

I live in New York, but my Navigation System defaults to New Jersey when I want to enter a destination ("Enter an address"). Does anyone know how to change this setting?

On another matter, if you live in a cold climate and have the de-icer function with your automatic windshield wipers and want to turn on the de-icer function, you need to press the "MENU" button next to the joystick and then highlight "CLIMATE". The de-icer icon is the one on the bottom right. Click on it, and it will work for about 15 minutes.

Default I have the same problem

Thanks for posting this question. I also find it annoying to "Change State" everytime I need to "enter an address".

Default Change default State

The vocal command for "Enter an Address" can be changed by going to "Menu", "Destination" and then changing the state by using the pop up keyboard. You have to be in Park for this part but than you can use the voice commands starting with city when moving.

I believe the default state can also be changed in the Nav. menu screen, under Setting.

mcomer, thank you for the advice. I followed your instructions last night, and it worked like a charm.
