Window switch not working after glass replacement
Hi everyone,
Had my windshield replaced yesterday from a chip. After leaving the shop, my side mirror started acting funny and turned all the way inward when the car is engaged in park. After I noticed that i couldnt roll down my passenger windows (front window still works) and the lock/unlock didnt work either from the driver panel. I am able to roll down the windows from each respective side, but not from the driver panel. When i put the side mirror setting to the R position, it tries to lock the car.
Anyone know of what solution i can do? I youtubed this, and it said to go to each window are reprogram by holding the window down for 3 seconds, then up for 3 seconds, but that didnt do anything either.
TIA

If you can only roll down the windows but not up, and it only works from the affected door and not the driver door controls, check to see if the lights for each of the window switches are flashing on your driver door controls. If they are, then it means the vehicle has lost track of which position (up/down) the window is in.
The way to fix it is to use the door switch to wind the window all the way down, then do it all the way up. If the driver controls stop flashing, it means that it's figured it out and it should work properly again.
Happened to me once, the above fixed it for good.
