Navigation connector broke off. Anyone know what this one does?

Navigation connector broke off. Anyone know what this one does?
I was disassembling my navigation today to install a new headunit when a wire and a plastic connector on the second row broke in two. Does anyone know what this is for and if this one is important? The head of the cable is crimped pretty hard in the connector so I'm not even sure how I would go about connecting the cable back together.
