Default 2007-2009 "Available Bluetooth technology"

I was under the impression that the 2007-2009 ES 350 only had bluetooth for phone calls (and that bluetooth audio streaming became standard in 2010). But, I was looking at the 2008 ES brochure (https://www.auto-brochures.com/lexus.html) and it has these two items listed under options:
  • "Audio Bluetooth® technology"
  • "Voice-activated DVD Navigation System with backup camera and Bluetooth® technology"
Their wording isn't very clear but it almost sounds like bluetooth audio streaming was an option. Can anyone offer confirmation that this definitely is or not available? Is it just a super rare thing to find, like the ES 350 with cloth seats?

I spent some time going through my owners manual (ES 350 2008) and I don't see any reference to being able to play music from a phone via bluetooth. Usually even if this was an optional feature it would still be included in the owners manual.

I think you're right, the wording is just confusing, which means I was shopping around for 2009 and earlier models under the impression that bluetooth music streaming was an option, so now I'm limiting my search to 2010 and newer.

There are retro fit kits available, that are plug and play. not sure how difficult installation is. but I wouldn't let that stop you if you find the perfect 2008/9

Are you talking about one of the kits like the ones from GTA Audio or a different kind of product?

The transmission issues that start around 150,000 miles should deter the OP more than Bluetooth availability. I've got a 2007 with 150,000 miles and the transmission has developed the 3/4 shift flare, hard shifting, and yesterday the transmission wasn't moving the car. Turns out the case bearing gets loose. The u660e transmission has some long-term issues.
