Default Bluetooth Audio Streaming

I am in a loaner ES 350 and it has Bluetooth Audio Streaming, is there an aftermarket upgrade (2008 ES w/Nav) or something that can change the standard Bluetooth for my phone pairing into one that stream audio too?

I have a 2009 that pairs with my phone and use the Griffin Blue Trip bluetooth audio receiver plugged into the radio aux plug. Works great.

There are a lot of options out there now that bluetooth streaming has become more popular. A lot of people also use the blackberry music gateway, and best buy sells a tunelink ! So just check them out and see which one you prefer. Which ever you get you may get some hissing when you are charging your phone and using the device. But there is a TSB that you can take your car to the dealer and they will fix it, if your car is under warranty.

I did some research and found some videos on YouTube, I was looking at the Belkin Aircast, it got pretty good reviews. My main purpose is to stream Pandora, I like to keep my car clutter free.

Before you decide, you want to consider what happens to your bluetooth device when the 12v power goes off and what happens when the car is restarted. Some of these devices have to be paired every time the power cycles off and on. Opening the center console and holding a button for 5 seconds would be a pain. I would only consider a device that automatically pairs when the power comes on so it automatically links with your phone and Pandora. I use a Droid Razr Maxx and it automatically pairs with the BlueTrip when the car is started and the phone automatically pauses when the car is turned off. Also consider if the device operates on its own battery and has to be recharged daily, weekly, or in my case, not at all.

Good luck and let us know what you get.
