Default 09 ES350 Overheating

First time posting. Hello people i'm a proud owner of a 1998 ES300 and a 2009 ES350. I live in a border town in so-cal and noticed that my 09 ES350 overheats in hot weather when i'm crossing the border when my 1998 ES300 can handle 2 hours of stop and go border crossing at triple digits ambient temperatures. Any suggestions maybe a different thermostat?
Thanks.

I suggest taking it in sooner than later. Regardless of temp, the car should not be overheating. Possibly a failing waterpump?

Thank you for responding, water pump works fine and it only overheats when making line at the border for long periods of time with the AC on but it cools down as soon as I turn the AC off. I was wondering if there was a temperature sensor that would power the fans at a lower coolant temperature.

You have some kind of a problem with the cooling fan. The second speed (AC speed) is not wotking.

Good afternoon guys, ok I checked everything and it all looked good but flushed the coolant system and put pink antifreeze and its been doing great so far. Its still hot here 100-110 degrees but not as hot as mid summer 120s. Thank you guys for your suggestions.
