Passenger window dead - questions/advice
The passenger side window in my 07 is not functioning. It was down slightly (1/2") and neither the passenger or driver side switch was able to get it back up (or down). I read about the window clip issue so I removed the passenger side switch panel and unplugged everything and then stopped since I started thinking that if the clip was broken I assume that there would be some noise as the window tried to move, which I wasn't hearing. So I plugged everything back in and ended up getting the window back up fully. But the window stopped functioning after that. So I'm happy it's up since it is still winter up here in Ottawa, Canada and I can wait until a bit warmer weather to fix it (no access to garage at the moment). So the questions before I tackle this repair is:
1. If the window clip is broken I'm assuming the switch would still be working and I would have some terrible noises. Is this the case?
2. I'm also assuming since both driver and passenger side switches do not operate the window that it is not a switch issue.
3. I'm guessing this is likely the motor? Other options.

All of the other windows are working fine from both their own switches and the drivers' switch so I don't think it is the child safety/window lock button that is the issue.
There is absolutely no sound whatsoever when attempting to put window down (since it is now stuck in the up position). Again, I'm leaning towards the motor having gone bad. Weather is looking up so I may pull apart the door this weekend.

try the key fob "open all windows/sunroof" maneuver to see if that does anything (press keyfob unlock button and hold it down for several seconds. Also i've enclosed the wiring diagram for the power window. I see there is a specific fuse for the front passenger side pw as well. Maybe check that

Could very well be a failing window motor.
See if a buddy can help you.
Have him pull up on the window while you activate the switch to go up.
Some times this works on a weak motor just to "help" it get closed up.

So it turns out resetting the switch actually worked. I tried that before I took the panel off in the first place and it didn't work but I must have done it incorrectly. I tried again over the weekend just out of curiosity and now it worked. I'm not sure why but all is well with the window. Thanks for all the advice and input.
