Dented oil pan.
The 2008 ES350 I recently bought has a dented oil pan.
No warning lights or anything, but I'm becoming more concerned as the my mildly OCD side takes over.
Does this look like something that's constricting oil flow? Keep in mind this was taken with a phone held pretty low looking upward at an angle.

Well then.
Replace it..!
No more questions ask. lol
Honestly, it looks ok to me. (if it was mine, i'd leave it and save me a few hundred $$$)
But i cant tell you that and then have an issue down the road.
Marks looks pretty recent
Less than a year maybe -- no rust showing yet.
Baahhh...just replace it.

Ha, I like your style.
I'll probably just replace it.
But, does anyone know how close the oil pickup is to the pan? I'm wondering if damage is being done without triggering any warnings.

(where the circular part on the inner pan)
Its usually pretty close.
I'm guessing here but maybe 3-4mm tops.
Oil light would trigger if there isnt much pressure so thats a way to keep an eye on it till you get it replaced.

I would change it now. The oil pick up will be picking up any sludge in the pan . This is a simple and straight forward job. Also you have lost some oil capacity and the pick up tube may be damaged or moved. If moved and the seal around the pump is leaking then you might be sucking air (cavatation) into the oil pump which will affect oil pressure. Driving at a moderate rate will make no difference . My recommendation is , get it done.

Toyota's design is solid. The pickup is immaculate.
It's designed with a slight curve to the rear, minimizing the chance that the most likely hit to the oilpan would impede flow much.
I'm pretty comfortable that this engine has sustained no more wear than the average well kept 2GR-FE.
