Default Snow tires. One on the front and one on the back

If I only have two snow tires for 2008 ES, Is it wise to put one on the front and one in the back? Or should I just put both of them on the front? Thank you

Ideally. you should install 4. If you want to install only a pair install them on driven axle(I believe ES is FWD?) Never one in the front and one in the back.
Personally I wouldn't install only a pair. There are 3 AWD cars in my family.. All has two sets of tires/rims for summer and winter. I switch them myself.

Yeah you really should go with 4.

There's some debate about whether to install them on the front or rear of a front wheel drive car if only going with 2. The theory for putting them on the back is to help prevent the back end from fishtailing or sliding out.
