Recently had a new engine installed in my es 350. The install was done by a reputable local
foreign shop. The airbag light just left of the tach and the seat belt light just to the right of the
center digital clock remain on. The shop manager couldn't fix the problem. I suspect the
reconnection sequence may be the problem. Any ideas?

I would go back to the shop who installed it and tell them you are going to take it to a dealer and that the shop will have to pick up the bill. If you didn't have the problem before the installation and now have it they didn't complete the installation correctly.
