Default how to unclip the low beam bulb

i have a 2008 ES 350
i have never done this and all my older cars were just a "twist in" bulb
this bulb has a metal clip and i am afraid to break it
i tried pushing down and the whole bulb moves with the clip
(this is a non HID bulb)

TY!

When you removed the plastic housing did you have to rotate it or just pull it straight out. Take it back out and look to see if there are any registration pins in it. If so fit it back into the hole . Press it in while closing the clip. Look at the other light to verify orientation.

i give up, this is my final attempt the two att pdfs show removal of headlight No1 (pdf3 para 4) and replacement of the said headlight (pdf5 para 12) . It has a clear picture of the clip along with the unclip sequence (push down, slid over and let up) and reclip sequence (push down, slid over and release). good luck

this is very helpful
let me try to explain my issue and if i fail to understand the answer, i will go to a mechanic
the light bulb (non-hid) consists of the bulb and the black plastic "socket"
what is the sequence of reinstall?
bulb into black socket into the headlight, then clip
OR
bulb into the headlight, then clip, then black socket?

i need more help
i thought i succeeded in doing this but i messed something up
my light output now is very very low
there is light coming from the projector but barely illuminates anything in front of me
what did i do wrong?
bulbs were purchased at the dealership
in hindsight i probably should've had them change but they wanted $59 labor charge
these are not hid bulbs

random thoughts...

take it out and put back in again?
are the bulbs the right halogen low beam, or not parking light or what ever? what is the bulb spec u bought
you say bulbs were purchased, that means two? did u install both and are both weak?

this is not rocket science! ask a friend locally to help, 2 heads are better than 1 often
