Default Engine cranks, starts for few seconds and goes off.

My 2010 ES 350 does not start. Engine cranks, starts for about 2 seconds and goes off. My wife dropped the car at the hand car wash and after washing she took it home but the problem started the next day morning. Can anyone help?

It could be your battery. Try to boost it and if it starts without a problem that you know for sure if it is the battery...

Sounds like a problem I had on a Chrysler 300... cant recall if it was the cam position sensor or crankshaft position sensor... it was $40 fix on the Chrysler...

It was diagnosed and the guy told me its the ID code box. I,m still skeptical about changing ID code box as most times it must be from the dealer because its the car security. He did all reset yet nothing. anyone knows more about this pls?

Default Hi Georgeonao

Did you find out what the actual diagnosis was? Was it the ID box? I faced the same issue with my Ls460 , it would start and turn off itself in seconds. My fuel pump seemed to be having the right pressure. I opened the injectors and got them cleaned with new seals, and then I changed one of the injector driver box. That fixed the issue.

Wondering if you found out the root of the cause as well, I've got an ISF with similar issues. Car's currently in the garage with a start/die issue after an exterior car wash. Started fine immediately after the wash, but next morning it would crank, start, then die. I brought it to a shop, all he did was disconnect the negative lead, reconnected after 30 min, and it started and ran fine for a week. I even washed it once before this most recent wash, and it worked fine.
