Default my lexus es 350 won't start

My lexus es 350 won't start this morning. I opened the engine hood and found a rabit there. Unfortunately it cut a cable harness.
anybody know what cable this is? mine is lexus es 350 2008.
can I replace the cut cable only or should replace whole cables connected to the cut?

frist pic shows the cut cable.
second pic does not show the cable, but shows the location of cable (between engine(left) and air filter housing(right)).

Thanks

I see no cable that is cutted.

This is the engine temperature sensor:

I did look deep into inside the room. The cable cutted was the engine temperature sensor cable. In the above pic, the two red circle should be connected together.
I have temporarily connected it and now I can start the car without problem.
Thanks so much for your help.
It is working now, but I think it is temporay solution. Finally I think I should replace the cable.
Can I replace the engine temerature sensor cable only or should replace the whole cable harness?

I would only repair that pig-tail / connector of the cable going to the sensor. Replacing the whole engine wire harness is not fun...
