2007 ES 350 HID & LED lights review Xenon Depot
Hello everyone,
Just finished upgrading my 2007 ES 350 with the following:
1. Xenon Depot H-7 Xtreme HID kit (6,500K) http://www.xenondepot.com/H7-HID-Kit...ID-p/xt-h7.htm
2. Xenon Depot 9005 Xtreme LED (6,000K) DRL/ high beam http://www.xenondepot.com/9005-LED-h...005-led-hl.htm
3. Xenon Depot Xtreme LED Fog lights (6,000K) http://www.xenondepot.com/9006-LED-b...d-9006-led.htm
4. Xenon Depot PHILIPS VISION LED side marker (194 T10 W5W - 6,000K) http://www.xenondepot.com/t10-w5w-19...9666000kx2.htm
Other LED upgrades (Amazon)
1. LED Interior lights - vanity mirror, door lights
2. LED Puddle/ courtesy lights
3. LED reverse lights
Review:
My first experience with Xenon Depot was when I upgraded my 2015 Camry Hybrid LE to their XtremeHID Kit with Philips 4,300K bulbs; I was delighted. I left the DRL/ high beams and side marker/ front turn signal unchanged. The HIDs give the brightest soft white light of any HID I've seen - identical to the OEM HIDs on Lexus, Acura etc.
With the Lexus, though I wanted something more on the whiter (read bluer) side so I chose the 6,500K; 5,000 K would have still been a little on the yellow side.
Installation was a breeze; it will be very easy for someone who is used to working on minor DIY work like replacing bulbs. The side marker and fog lights are a bit tedious as it requires opening up a port in the wheel well (for the side marker) and the front bumper lower cover for the fog lights.
Steve from XD was very prompt in answering calls, helped me decide on the right bulbs; educating me on the HID/ LED comparison, color temperature selection etc.
Although my order was placed rather late in the day, they made a trip to FedEx to ensure my shipment was sent the same day to reach me on Friday.
I would highly recommend anyone considering HID/ LED upgrades to go with Xenon Depot. Although Club Lexus forum does not have many posts on HID/ LED upgrades, Toyota Nation Forum has tuns of reviews on Xenon Depot.
Disclosure: I paid the full price (minus the official 20% discount at the time) and received no favors for this review.
For the internal lights, puddle lights, I purchased 194 LEDs from Amazon. For the reverse/ backup lights, I already had a pair of 921 LEDs from Amazon; all the LEDs are 6,000K.
Will add pictures for the interior and reverse/ backup lights later.
I'd be happy to answer any questions

I upgraded the lights within a couple of days of getting the car so I did not do a comparison test between the halogen and LED fogs. There is a picture, as you may have seen, that shows the LED fog installed on one side and halogen fog on the other.
In my honest opinion, if you need bright fogs, go with the XenonDepot XtremeLED 9005s; they are 2,500 lumens whereas the fogs I used are 725 lumens (I wanted to match the color but not spend too much as I don't care much about fogs). Remember, though, that the fog installation is a bit tricky; you have to remove the underbody panel to ensure a good install of the XtremeLED since it has a metal-weave heat sink.
As for the stop/ tail light, I am not planning on LEDs; the halogens are pretty bright as-is and I honestly think the difference between LED and halogens won't be that distinguishable. My two cents; others may have a preference for LEDs.
Thanks!

Yep, I saw that photo, I was just asking about the brightness in terms of the actual output. The colour is spot on with the low beams though, well done!
You meant to say get the 9006 for the fogs

Nice setup!
I just purchased and installed my Xenon Depot H-7 Xtreme HID kit (5000K) on my 08' ES. Love the colour but the dispersion pattern/aiming on the drivers side is off to the right too much. Did you have to make any adjustments on your headlights after install? Did you find a large unlit section directly in front of the drivers position.
Just curious if you experience the same result as I....
Cheers,
Todd.

I double checked the install this morning and the bulbs are definitely seated securely and clipped down. I'll check again this evening when it gets dark and see what it looks like. I did find an adjustment on the headlight housing which I believe adjusts only the height.
If it's still an issue, what would you suggest?
I'll try to take a pic but I'm not sure if it will accurately show what I see.

Let us know what you found out based on suggestions from Steve from XD. Hope your issue gets resolved.
Another thing, put back the old bulb and see if you see the same issue with the light pattern.

Just a little update.
So I have no idea what happened but last night the dispersion pattern was way better, to the point where I would say normal. Maybe something happened when I double checked the bulbs that morning? I have no idea. But it definitely is way better. All I had to do is adjust the height and it's working great.
Thanks for the assistance guys!

Yes I'm sure it is. But I'm not sure how tight it will be compared to the stock bulb with that electrical extension between it and the connector. That extension made for a very tight and secure retaining clip.

If the vehicle uses an adaptor to secure the stock bulb into place you will need this component IF the bulb is not seated securely:

I'm also assuming @nsnqst would need the same adapter for his vehicle if he hadn't already known?
