Just wondering if anyone else has found any "hidden" features that amazed you, meaning you didn't know about it and it was not a known thing until one day you stumbled across it.

My hidden feature that I found that I was amazed at: if you left the moonroof open and windows down by accident and already exited and shut off the vehicle, no problem, just hold the lock button on the door handle for 3seconds+ and it auto closes everything, soo useful!

 

You can also do the reverse by holding down the unlock button on the fob, all windows and moon roof will open. Useful on a hot day.

 

Odd, my 2008 UL does not open the moon roof, only the windows ??

Does the UL have the all glass panoramic roof? Maybe that's the reason.

 

You can program the sunroof to not open with the key and just have the windows open.

 

With the car running set the seat memory (hold set and then press "1"). With only one key fob inside press and hold the the "1" and then press "door unlock" until you hear the chime. Repeat if desired for the second key & "2".
The fob will trigger the memory whenever you unlock the car! Note: we don't lock the car in the garage so it doesn't trigger this cool feature but it is nice when changing drivers after a rest stop or restaurant.

 

Not really a feature but the speedometer reads 3 mph faster than whatever speed you are actually going.

Making sure the lower ac vents are on makes the seats get cooler faster.

You can control the ac settings using voice control. Voice control will also locate an airport for you when you are looking for a gas station lol.

It literally took me around a year to figure out how all the stuff works and I'm still sketchy on the navigation.

 

I found by reading the owners manual you can learn all about the various features. Just my approach.

Yes, no auto-open or close for the UL moon roof. Same reason you have to push and hold the open or close buttons to operate the moon roof. I believe it is a built-in safety constraint due the all-glass UL roof design, but I don't remember the specifics.

Honestly... there really isn't much to these cars from a "hidden feature" perspective that either isn't in the manual or most long time owners don't know about. Really.

So go look at your owner's manual and know that you too have the power.
