Default 2008 ES350 19" rims/tires

I've decided to upgrade my rims and tires. I got a set of IS-F rims and Michelin Primacy tires. After all my research it looks as though a 19" rim with a 235/40r19 will fit and not rub.

Can anyone advise if they will work?

Ricknee, what info are you looking for? My question is more specifically for the tires. Know that the rims will fit my car.

For the 19" rims the offset is 35 and the width is 8".

I always use this website (http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp), but I think they should fit fine... the only thing with lower profile tires is they make the tire-wheelwell gap look bigger (even tho the wheel itself is larger)... post up a picture after you install them if you can.

Before and after. No issues with the tire size.

Ronny - what year of IS F rims did you get? And what was the model # of your tires? I love how your ES 350 looks.

I bought the rims from OE Wheel Distributors. I believe they said 08, as far as the tires they are Michelin primacy MXM4.

The ride is a little stiffer in the cornering. However, I think it rides better.

I bought 4 Michelin Energy tires when my 2007 350ES at 63,000 miles in June 2013. Now Discount Tire says I need new ones and I only have 85,000 miles. Is Michelin the way to go or has someone used a different longer lasting tire.

Hey Ronny, they look great! Did you get new tire sensors or did you transfer them over from the stock wheels?

I wonder what the car would look it if were lowered a bit.

I Just got tints installed today (will post later), now looking for a nice wheel/tire package.

Ronny,
I saw your thread a couple of weeks ago. Have to say I loved the way the IS-F wheels looked on the
ES. So I had no choice but to copy you. Thank you for posting and giving me the idea. I also went with the the hyper silver finish which looks way better than the chrome rims I had before and way way better than the original rims that came on the UL model. I also went with the 235/40-19s which again looks much better than the 235/45-18s I had before. In case you're wondering, yes I did lower my car. I have coilovers and dropped it 1-1/2 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back. I think the ride quality is fine for every day driving although I do miss the original plushy ride when I'm on long trips.

Your car looks great . I like the hyper silver also, I might get the rims ceramic coated hyper black in the near future. Let me know if your MPG reduces with the new rim/tire combo. Mine has stopped about 5 MPG since installing them.

To be honest I didn't even consider that wheels could make that much of an impact on mpg but now that I think about I did lose 2-3mpg when I went from the factory 17x7 to the 18x8s I had on before. The new rims and tires are the same width as the previous ones although taller rim and shorter sidewall. The new rims probably weigh a few pounds more so there may be another slight dip in mpg. But hey, I'm still averaging 22mpg which is great all things considered.

I was actually researching new cars for past few months because I was ready to make a change (my car is almost 9 years old, but only has 70k miles). But decided to save my money and just buy some new shoes for my trusty steed. Now the flickering flame has been rekindled for less than the cost of a couple of the car payments I would have had to make on a new car. Anyway, I was surprised at how many of the cars I was looking at got less than 20mpg.
