Last night I was unable to get to my local gas station coming back from dinner. For the 1st time since I owned the car the tank empty light came on. I had about 30 miles on the range est. Took it out this morning to fill it up and it took almost 16 gals. The trip gauge said I had 425 miles on this tank.

Found my Lexus Owners Manual for 2015 ES 350/ ES300h :
ES 350 Fuel tank capacity, 17.0 gal.
Low fuel Warning Light is the gas pump symbol on the gauge. It will turn to yellow and beep. Approximately 2.6 gals are remaining in the tank.

Damn what’s your driving conditions like?

I average about 70% highway at 65-70mph.

I usually fill up when I need 14 gallons just before the light comes on and there is only one time I found I got to 404 miles and I used 15.8 gallons which yielded 25.5MPG with a manual calculation.

I never let it run out or even let the light on so its hard to say, but around 400-450kms in the city on a 55L fill up and roughly 500-600km on highways.

375 to 400 going west to Cali in the ES - - -RX gets less MPG but has a larger tank . . .
