I'm browsing for oem parts for my ES350 2008 online. I've looked at RockAuto, autopartway, Ebay and sewell, seems like the water pump are made by AISIN.

My dealer charges 147.00can

It is the same since they are made by AISIN or there are diffrent quality grade to explain the price difference ?

thanks for the quick response. I'm trying to stick with OEM parts, but i'm not getting fooled by the dealership. There are different ways to save on quality parts like looking at toyota dealerships OR search for the name of the supplier of lexus and toyota parts.

 

it's probably the same remember sometimes company's make products and then larger company's buy them just to brand them with their own name.

not every auto manufacturer makes all their own parts
Remember they are in the business of making cars not parts
there is a good chance that your OEM struts might be made and supplied by Monroe but branded with Lexus or what ever brand is one them.

the reason i know this is a strong possability is because Airtex a brand that i always hear people complaining of yes they make their own parts on some items
but the big majurity of their parts they buy overtock items like a airtex fuel pump is most likely made by ACDELCO
we have alot of ACDELCO parts on our cars that are just branded other names
its all overstock items that are purchased or that lexus has made specific with their name

 

Rockauto, Lexuspartsnow, and Sewell for you parts... AISIN makes my brake master cylinder so you know thats OEM.... IF your doing timing also Sewell has the complete kit..
