Default Code issue after running through deep water

I have recently run through a large pool of water on the road and this shortly after tuned on the engine warning light and the " ! " light. Everything seems to feel Ok but had the OBD code read and it shows P0051 and also showed VSC. Any one got ideas on what to look for?

How deep was the "pool"? Have the lights now gone out. I'd bet water got into an O2 sensor harness connector. If one "plows" through any body of water deeper than about the height of the tire (the distance from the road to the wheel rim at 6 o'clock) faster than a crawl, it can cause problems. Some problems may not show up for quite awhile (and they can be expensive).

Looks like you may have a short in the O2 sensor "bank 2 , sensor 1" . This says the heater circuit is not functioning correctly. The water may have damaged it.

Default Code after drive through water

The pool of water was ice /snow melt in the curb side of the road and was about 4" deep. I was in traffic and didn't see it till the car in front passed it and then couldn't swerved as on coming was present. The info posted about the ES350 2008 had issues with gas cap needing removed and retightened sounded a quick try. I reset the code and it stayed off for a day then returned, it will now only reset for a short drive then returns on! Right now it's too cold and wet to get under and check the curb side wheels / brakes / sensors to see if they have perhaps been pulled off or have water in connections but I'll try this next week.

Default Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try on the weekend.

It's cold up here so will hope for a warmer weekend and try to check it out then. Maybe the wire pulled out or got filled with water. I did try a number of times to clear the code but comes back up with the same one after a few min of driving.

Will try and check it on the weekend, supposed to warm up a little by then! Thanks for the info I'll let you know what I find, is it possible that it may have taken out a fuse!
